Cyclists of similar ability ride together, with groups capped at 14 riders. Riders must choose appropriate groups matching their fitness on the day — to avoid faster riders being slowed down or slower riders struggling to hold the wheel.
Each rider must have a designated partner at ride start. Partners are responsible for ensuring their companion isn't left behind, with the peloton riding in pairs except when obstacles force single-file formation.
Riders departing early should notify the ride captain — to prevent unnecessary search efforts and keep the group's focus on the road.
